If you’ve ever wondered if improv is for you, here’s a great opportunity to check it out! As more and more people of all types are discovering, improv is an incredible tool for expanding your world. Aside from being ridiculously fun, improv can also help with:
· working through shyness
· getting out of your own way
· turning “mistakes” into gifts
· embracing your wacky self
For those with little or no improv experience, this 3-hour introduction will consist largely of games and exercises that are playful and engaging – getting us out of our judging minds and into the moment. Within these games we will discover some of the basic, foundational elements that make improv work.
About the instructor: Laura’s improv training began in 2005 at BATS in San Francisco as an experiment in being bolder and she’s been growing in unexpected ways ever since. As a formerly shy person, she certainly didn’t intend to take it to the stage, but improv is full of surprises. Laura continues to perform and study around the Bay Area, and because of how much her life opened up and lightened up, Laura’s wish is to help bring the same to as many others as she can through classes and shows.
